At DDTS, we can also offer vacuum
technology courses. Such courses are usually specific to individual customer
requirements, depending on the system in use and its associated vacuum
components.
Typically a course may involve:
Basic vacuum
theory. Incorporating creation of a vacuum, units of measurement and the
techniques employed to monitor a vacuum.
Discussion of
the specific vacuum instruments making up a customers process tool. This would
cover components such as vacuum pumps (rotary, roots, diffusion, cryo etc). We
would also be looking at gauge types, valve types, and the general layout and
operation of the pumping system employed by the customer.
Good vacuum
practice: This would involve discussion on how tasks such as routine
maintenance and system cleans etc are carried out.
Fault finding
on your vacuum system : Looking at the different techniques used in the remedy
of vacuum system failure. ( Helium leak checking, leak rate checks, Residual
gas analysis etc).
As mentioned previously, the courses are
generally tailored to specific customer requirements. We will be more than happy
to discuss and develop a course module which suits your needs.
